Do you have to return a form of proxy to attend, even if you're not voting?

That's ok then, hopefully - I've left it all a bit late!

Are the shares in your name of a nominee account (such as if held in a ISA etc). If not in your name you may not be allowed in unless they are notified of your intention to attend. Best to check with the Registrar or Company Secretary (this is all me assuming it is a plc you are talking about)

They're held by a nominee but they've sent me a signed letter to say I'm a share holder, but the letter also requests for me to be able to vote...but I haven't sent a proxy form to the registrar (because I haven't been sent one - HSBC told me they don't vote unless specifically instructed to do so), so I'm not sure if no proxy form registration = no entry.

Not too fussed about the voting, but I do want to attend.

They let me in and they let me vote, slightly at odds with their own documentation, but nevermind.

Not unusual from my experience.
