If a US company wants to pay some $$$s to someone's UK bank account, what format do they require the account details in?

IBAN? SWIFT? ...?

Hi

I get paid USD into my UK GBP account, I needed my IBAN number and bank address, plus the usual sort and account numbers. Shouldn't be any different for a single payment or a salary.

Cheers

Doesn't the IBAN contain the sort code and account number?

Yes, it will, but with some other numbers. You will also need the BIC of your bank (11 digit SWIFT code).

And if the US bank is a bit crap, they may well need arouting bank account in the US; mine has to transfer to Barclays in NY before transferring to the UK.
