it is easy to do yourself, just visit one of the big financial forums and they have guides and template letters.

definitley no need to pay anyone else to do it.

are private individuals allowed to claim back bank charges or has it been stopped?

I used template letter from internet and took me 6 weeks to get back nearly 3 grand recently

Deleted reasons from template letter which did not refer to me - that left about 5 different reasons

No other help needed - these companies will take about a third from you

Did you bank suggest you take your account elsewhere after they settled?

I did a couple of claims bank in the day for 'excessive' charges.

I got a some money back form 2 companeis I still use.

I believe that door is closed now as a court ruled the banks could charge what they liked for certain fees.

NO

The original loan was with A&L but settled by Santander
