Big Greek's!!!! Back in the day there were two Gilt's maturing in 2000...which were called Baby and Big Greek's (Grecian 2000) respectively. These being Big Greek's because of the big coupon.....And yes....everyone that traded these things back then was totally immature. It's a lot quicker than saying the full name though....

Quite possibly, are they registered or bearer bonds ? If the latter they definitely won't have paid the money back unless someone declared them lost etc. Contact the DMO to find out http://www.dmo.gov.uk/
