I need to deposit £10k cash approx into my personal account. Nothing dodgy. Am I likely to get questioned when I go to the bank with it?

Yes.

But as there is nothing dodgy you can explain where it's come from and prove it, right?

Absolutely, I just don't want to have to explain to some teller in a bank with lots of people listening. 2 x £5k less likely to raise "suspicion"?

(I sold some things over the past 12 months btw, that is were it came from)

Just go and pay it in. And pick the fittest bied behind the counter. You might get lucky.

I deposited 10k at Natwest and the only question I was asked if I would be interested in a savings account of some sort.
