Credit reports?
Discussion
I have been trying to get a new phone this afternoon. I did a credit check with orange with a view to a £15 a month contract - and I am declined!!!
I have just done an experian check and according to them I have an excellent credit rating. The only thing it flagged up was that I have "no successfully settled non mail order accounts" but as far as I am aware I have no old accounts with outstanding debts.
I have 2 credit cards which are always paid off each month, no loans, no mortgage, a Full time, permanent job.
I have never had any bad debt. I do only have 27 months continual UK addresses, due to being overseas for a couple of years.
Is this just orange being an arse, or is there something I need to be looking at?

Is that likely to be a hurdle for you, I remember being told that 'no debt' is not a decent credit record.
That thought crossed my mind too, but it makes no sense. Its frustrating that all these shell suit wearing mouth breathers can ponse about with an iphone on contract, and they pull their noses up at me trying to get a basic smartphone on a 15 quid contract.
