Evening Chums

I`m just going back through my old finances to try and see whether I`ve ever ended up paying PPI and am struggling with some wording on my Capital One credit card statements from 2001/2002.

Does anyone know what "Special Purchase Interest" would attain to?

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for that, this is where I`m confused. I took the card to transfer a balance at the time and take advantage of a 0% transfer rate. After 7 months special purchase interest started appearing on the account.

Now I`m not 100% sure, hence the reason for checking, but I thought the transfer was for a year, and hadn`t bought anything else on it. In fact after a year I paid it off and used it as a regular credit card which attracted purchase interest.

Also the Special purchase interest was only 0.944%, so not much, and indeed not nearly as much as if it was only a 6 month deal and had fallen off the end, so to speak?
