Has anyone got a buy to let mortgage recently? We are looking to add a couple of properties this year and wondered what the availability was like at the moment.

Oh and for all BTLs, your credit needs to be clean.

Yes, but you'll pay more for them

The Mortgage Works (TMW) have an 80% product but its not available to first time landlords. If you are one then it'll be 75% LTV.

Some of the high street banks have now withdrawn from BTL altogether.

However with a good LTV and credit history you'll be able to find a reasonable one easily.

Ours was organised few years back with the Halifax at a LTV of 70%.

Good news for us is our fixed rate has just ended and we're £275 better off a month

For the time being, of course...
