Phoned them whilst trying to replace RBS as principal lenders.
Said they don't deal with professional landlords (>10 props).

Did have a look at them, got a better deal with HSBC.

They had some very stange practices, including insisting on a face to face meeting at one of their branches, even for introduced business.

Until you factor in the grand number of 5 branches throughout th country. Not in London (x2), Birmingham, Manchester or Glasgow? You'll be travelling then.

I applied for a chinese mortgage. Funny thing was, half an hour later, I fancied applying for another.

Agreed, it is good practice.
Nothing like seeing the whites of their eyes and the sweat of the brow to see if they are genuine;)

Their rates don't appear to be particularly competitive
