Best country/region/sector in 2012

I'm wondering were to stick my car fund.
I've been reading almost everyday, there appear to be lots of varying opinions out there.
Quite a few are saying Emerging Markets will be the place for growth for the next two years, next favourite is Asia.
There is also a lot of Dollar money going into Emerging Market Local Currency Bond Funds.
However following the herd doesn't always give the best returns.
At present I'm looking at Latin America, but Australia is a possible, a little too contrarian maybe
I decided not to do a poll as there are too many options.

Am I the only one with a car fund ?
I chose, for better or worse, a fifty fifty split between Latin America and Russia.
Financed from UK and Europe funds.
Growth forecasts for these are grim, Europe may get a termporary boost when Greece is settled, but it will get knocked back by the next casualty.

I'm long in utilities and banking sectors in India - the IMF has just cut the growth forcast for the country as a whole in 2012, but it's still at 7%, so not a bad return compared to Europe.
IMO some (but not all) of Latin America is a good bet.
With US elections around the corner, there may well be some policies announced which will boost the US indexes, though I remain wary due to an underlying problem in the housing market which could get nasty.
Check out full year results from FMCG companies as where there is sales growth in that sector, there's a good chance the economy as a whole is going in that direction.
