So I bought a Sony camera just after Christmas and it came with a £50 cash back off. Nice. However it wasn't quite cash that I got back. It was a pre paid credit / cash card for £50.

Has anybody used one before? The instructions are a touch vague. It doesn't say what happens it you want to use said £50 towards something of a higher value. Any ideas? Can I do two transactions for one item?

of course you can put it towards an item of higher value. in the shop they can ring through as many payments as are required to settle the bill.

(I used to work in a shop and we could take any combo or cash/cheque/voucher/card to make up to the value of the purchase.)

Ok, I never knew that you could use 2 forms of payment for one item. Although, thinking about it I've been to restaurants loads of times where we split the bill, so I should have guessed really!
