Say you had a business and you wanted to lease a car, a big car, a diesel Merc GL over 3 years just to pick an example out of the ether... What sort of money would it cost AFTER all of the tax deductions had been accounted for?

Not for me, it has been mentioned elsewhere that such a car can be leased and it ends up costing very little with some clever accounting and it would be interesting if this actually were the case.

The tax treatment varies a lot depending on the nature of the lease.

The way it was being talked about was that by the time he had taken all of his tax breaks into account it was down near £100/month, maybe even less.

Cannot comment without knowing the exact circumsatances.

It's very hard to give very general advice on the tax implications of the nuemerous types of leases there are without knowing -

the exact type of lease you are talking about

the exact make of vehicle
