Wedding insurance
Discussion
Getting hitched next year and in the market for some wedding insurance. We've booked a few things so far (venue, photographer and band) so now we're at the point of spending money on stuff we're thinking we'd better get some cover in case some disaster happens.
I've had a look around and got an idea of the sort of things these policies do and don't cover but just wondered if anyone would recommend any particular company? They all look much of a muchness and all seem to start around the £18 mark so it's not something that'll break the bank - just if anyone's got any positive or negative experiences they'd like to share I'd be happy to hear them.

We used M&S insurance for ours. Photographer lost a roll of film, and Mrs. M. spilt some red wine on her dress.
We were offered a chance to reshoot the missing photos (tricky since they were during the reception) or partial reimbursement of cost of photography + cost of cleaning the dress. No hassle, well worth it.

+1 this.Check levels of cover carefully obv, choose the one that reflects what is important to you and your budget. No point in an £18 policy with max payout £10k if you are spending £30k for example.
We wanted substantial payout on big things - total cancellation for some reason, severe illness of key people, etc. A couple of hundred quid here/there for spillages or whatever we weren't bothered.
I think which have a decent comparison on their website if you are a subscriber.
Decent photographer should have his own insurance - ask. Its all memory cards these days obv not rolls of film but the do corrupt etc.
