There currently rated a sell, so I'm steering clear!

It's not a professional opinion but I bought quite a few the day they dropped 15% at 165. I reckon they may drop further after the news this week before picking up again.

Which probably means they'll rise soon.

They have had a lot of problems, new chief exec will be key, who is going to take it on?

I disagree about the new chief exec that's not going to drive short term price by more than a few %.

There are quite a few banks saying Barclays is worth much more than £2.50 and one I can think of sayingmore than £3. That said the world for banks is a very bad place....and Barclays will not be insulted from whatever happens in Europe.

If you can buy and don't need to turn an instant profit right now is probably a great level over 5 years but it can definitely get quite a bit worse before it gets better.

I never said it would drive the price up wink

A long protracted recruitment will scare already scared investors, i hold barclays for the long term, but its a very rocky road to come imo.

Hugh Hendry says to steer clear.

As do many others. If I thought I could out perform Hugh, then I might be tempted to buy. hehe

ZIRP means banks are suffering. Plus public opinion, plus ongoing investigations etc.
