If you 'withdraw' the money (rather than transfer) then I believe there is no fee.

There is no paypal fee for transfering a paypal account balance to your bank account.

You will however be charged an astronomical fee on the 3k if its a payment from someone INTO your paypal account.

When I transferred £800 into my nominated account they charged me about £20, so yes yes
I reckon somewhere around £70.

They didn't charge you anything to transfer from PayPal to your bank.

You get charged for them transferring money in to your PayPal account.

There is no fee payable if you put it as a personal payment and not for goods or service, but you lose any come back rights.

So basically, get him to send it to you via Paypal as a personal payment, which then avoids the fee's. It also means he can't open a dispute against you to get his money back if the bike bursts into flames 50 meters down the road......

I think he's backed out of the deal,I said, politely obviously,I wasn't keen to use Paypal. He's in Dorset and I'm nr Edinburgh,he was looking for the security of the Paypal thang(as mentioned in last post) as he wasn't able to view the bike.
