What has happened to the funds from my shares??

I have a certificate at home for some shares i purchased a few years ago in Cable and Wireless Worldwide. On 27 July, Vodafone purchased C&WW so obviously all shares have been sold, rather than me physically selling mine myself. As of today, i have had no commmunication regarding any funds that will be heading my way from the sale of my shares.

As i have never had shares sold in this manner before, i'm not sure what to expect.

Will Vodafone contact me? Will i get a cheque in the post? If so, how long do these things usually take?

You would have been written to several times about this - have you moved address since purchase ? Contact the registrar shown on the certificate

The only communication i recall receiving has been invitations to shareholder AGMs. I have spoken to a few other people i know in the same situation and they haven't received anything either.

But i will dig out the certificate and try to contact the registrar.
