Guys, I'm retired and wish to spend half the year in Australia (daughter lives there)and the other half here, my property is on the market but recently I have become unsure about the best way to proceed. I have narrowed it to the following options:

1) Sell current property and purchase a secure (gated) apartment in the UK which will need a further £200K approx. Rent apartment in Australia.
2) Sell current property (circa £850K), invest funds and use interest to fund rental of UK and Oz apartments.
2) Let current property and use income to fund rental of UK and Oz apartments.

Opinions welcome, thanks.

That is hardly a dilemma!

What is realistic rent you can achieve on the UK home?

Deduct agents fees, insurance, legal and maintenance costs.

Where in Aust. would you rent? What are the rentals out there?

Where would you rent for the 6 months or so you are back here in the UK?
