Anyone run/work for a debt collecting agency??
Discussion
Right,
i have a CCJ against an individual for 5k, this was granted in Jan 12,
he has not paid anything towards it or offered payments etc, i know he owns his house and still lives at the address.
can i sell the debt to a DCA? i'm a private individual aswell not a company.
anyone offer some help or offer to buy the debt

It's not disputed because you have a CCJ in your favour.i have a CCJ against an individual for 5k, this was granted in Jan 12,

!The debt is of a magnitude where you can serve a statutory demand and if it's not settled after 21 days you can petition for bankruptcy. I have a solicitor contact who will handle it for you, PM me if you want me to put you in touch.
If you do choose to petition for bankruptcy, remember that you will have to fund the cost of doing so. If there is money available, it will be repaid but that could be some time away.
I'd suggest doing what you can to see whether there is likely to be any equity in the house. Any secured loans as well as the mortgage? charging orders?
If there is no equity now, you might just apply for a charging order yourself so you become secured. When the property is eventually sold you will be paid then if there is equity.
Alternatively, why not enforce the judgement by sending bailiffs round?
I'm in a similar position to you. I have a CCJ that stands at a little over £5k including statutory interest. She has nothing of value now so there is no point in making her bankrupt but the position may change although you do have to keep an eye on limitation.
