Ok so I'm looking to sell an item on another forum, and I have a guy lined up to purchase. We've been all through it and worked out a deal but the guy has at the last minute told me that he wants to pay via PayPal, and won't do a bank transfer as he has apparently had issues with bank transfer?! PayPal has always been a last resort for me and it's a fair sum of money, £400. My question I suppose is is ppg secure from my point of view? I've heard that even gift payments can be reversed now?

The gift may be reversible, but if done with an invoice and as goods (buyer to pay commission, then if you follow process in theory paypal will cover you. (Tracked and signed for shipment etc)

Exclusions and the usual crap apply.
Last time mine sale somehow wasn't covered (can't remember of the paypal reason, not that I had to claim back but I did check anyway).

Just don't do it, sellers are the last thing paypal protects.

If the buyer has a paypal verified address then make sure it's sent on a tracked service to that address.
