How do I check if I have shares or not?
Discussion
Stupid question I know, but need a starter for ten....
About 15 years ago, I had shares (and share options) in a US company. I know I sold some but I can't remember if it was all of them, so I'd like to find out.
If it helps, the company is still trading; on NASDAQ; and I have have some paperwork from Computershare (who I believe administered the scheme), but nothing I can find with an actual account number or whatever. All other paperwork was disposed of during a breakup.
Who do I contact in the first instance?
Thanks in advance.

Contact the company, ask for their Invester Relations dept. Ask them who is their current registrar. Call the registrar, explain the situation, ask them to tell you the process. They will probably want you to ask in writing with passport/ID copy and as much detail as you can remember.
