buy to let offset mortgage interest payments question
Discussion
If a buy to let mortgage is interest only, does this make any difference re: the rules about being able to offset mortgage interest payments?
ie is there any difference (tax-wise) between repayment and interest only mortgage?
I have an interest-only mortgage, and I am allowed (by the mortgage company) to make over-payments without penalty. Currently I don't do this, if I do would it have any implications / effects regarding income tax?
