Hi all,

I want to deposit my savings into an interest-bearing current account (Which I can withdraw whenever I need from an ATM). Is there a product that is recommended for this? I looked at Nationwide but I believe they offer 5% interest only on £2,500 and not the entire amount (which in my case is in 5 figures).

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks

If you've got between £3-£20k the Santander 123 current account gives 3% interest, and between 1-3% cashback on certain direct debits. It has a £2 monthly fee, but even cashback on a £40 phonebill pretty much offsets the monthly fee.

Requirements are £500pm payin.

I just came here to suggest Nationwide, but it looks like you've already looked at that. The FlexPlus is a good account though if you want the added benefits.

You can put up to £5000 in the lloyds TSB account and add vantage to 3 accounts, so thats £15k sorted at 3%
You have to pay in £1000 each month but I just have them set in a standing order to pay in a loop.

I set up 3 of these:
http://www.lloydstsb.com/current-accounts.asp?WT.a...
It originally started at 4% for up to £7000 so that was £21000, but they then dropped it to 3% for up to £5000

You can set up new current accounts on online banking, I think you need to go to the branch to add vantage.

I have two with vantage on them, one also has the 4% interest to £6000 thing they were doing a few months ago, but the account also has to have a number of direct debits on it to qualify.

You can just phone them to add vantage.
