Just musing on my finances and was wondering if anyone could give a ball park figure for an endowment policy.

I'm a male 48, non smoker in good health and want an idea of the monthly cost for a £200,000 endowment over 10 and 15 years and also for £100,000 over 10 and 15 years. At this stage it's just a figure(s) to kick about. The payout needs to be certain, not one of these may go up or down, or as near to certain as it can be in this day and age. I'm not averse to a bit of risk, as long as I know what it is beforehand.

Can anyone give me some idea?

Thanks.

Why not set up a life insurance policy and a seperate investment account, i believe it works out better on charges?

We sell life insurance, if you want any quotes?

Got plenty of Life Insurance, thanks. That's not the route I want to go. In fact, not sure the endowment is the way I want to go.

If you're purely after investment returns to get a capital amount, and are UK based, ISAs are usually the first step you should consider.

The above may well be able to help.
