Money week did a artical named as the title, anyone read it. What are your thoughts?
In short it isn't even a moneyweek article. It is an article written by their marketing department to get people to subscribe and it is 95% stretched truths/twisted facts/skewed statistics/bulls
t.I've read it and subscribe to Mwk. It's true that it's a grim read and at the bad end of possible outcomes but I didn't see anything that wasn't true. The consequences that will come about from today's mad economics are uncertain but their view of our outlook is a fair judgement.
If the UK is all fine and indeed not completely bankrupt then stop buying billions of junk per month, stop printing money, stop pretending they are not subsidising private house purchases with public money and replace ZIRP with a real interest rate for pensioners and savers.
My guess is their forecast will turn out about right, it just doesn't seem so certain right now while we've got used to this finanacial lalaland.

Hmm, I wouldn't ever subscribe to moneyweek because of that daily mail article. We can argue about whether you can call it "not true" or not but to me anything that exaggerates and twists facts to imply something incorrect can fit into that category.
Anyway,, a counter article for people to make up their minds as to whether the article is "true"

Ok good points made, are they any better than those in the Mwk article? I've no idea. But to return to my test of financial health:We can argue about whether you can call it "not true" or not but to me anything that exaggerates and twists facts to imply something incorrect can fit into that category.

if everything's ok then stop printing money, stop monetising debt, set a fair base rate that a pension or saver can use and stop all the socialist scams like help to buy. When they do then the Mwk article will be scaremongering, until then I'd say it's a fair point of view.
It really is hilarious. Watch the video, even better! http://pro.moneyweek.com/myk-eob-tpr-cut/PMYKP905/...

The money week article make untrue suggestions , grossly exaggerates our problems to the point of fantasy and is titled "the end of Britain". If you don't call that "scaremongering" then I can only assume English is not your first language and you believe I'm suggesting that the money week article frightens crows or somethingif everything's ok then stop printing money, stop monetising debt, set a fair base rate that a pension or saver can use and stop all the socialist scams like help to buy.
