Norwich and Peterborough Building Society

Does the PH web of contacts extend to knowing the details of somebody in a high position at the Norwich and Peterborough Building Society? I'd like to make a complaint about a badly mismanaged account application and the normal channels are proving useless.

Norwich and Peterborough are nowhere near each other and in different counties.
I wouldn't trust any company that doesn't have any sense to name a company so people on the internet question their ability to name a company and therefore their ability to run a financial institution.

It's like if I joined the Coventry and Bedford bank. I'd be wary.

Mind you GTIR, I've never had any issues with the Reykjavik & Johannesburg Building Society.

Look them up on the FCA register, that will give you the name of a high ranking bod.

I have lived in villages on the outskirts of both of those cities. That's a very strong link and well worth naming a building society after.

N&P have been going for ages. At least they're not Santander like all the rest. It's when they become giant grasping corporations that the problems start IMHO.

But they already have. They were run so badly that they almost went bust a couple of years ago and are now owned by Yorkshire Building Society. In the process they really screwed over their commercial mortgage customers by unilaterally tearing up the links to Libor and imposing much higher interest rates.

You can register a complaint with anyone there who picks up the phone. It doesn't have to be in writing.

Get their name and a confirmation of your complaint by post. If they say you need to submit the complaint in writing, or to a complaints department, complain about that too.

I have an old Norwich and Peterborough account book, last entry was a balance of £1.20 in 1998. Wonder if I'm sitting on a fortune now?
