PPI claim on deceased's will?
Discussion
Odd one this, asking on behalf of a friend and wanted a quick likelihood situation before bothering the accountant:
Quick summary, her husband died in 2012, and it has recently transpired he took out a loan over the period 2004-2008 which, I believe means he is likely to have paid some PPI and possibly therefore been a 'victim' of the various mis-sellings. Is it possible to claim back the money on a loan as an executor of a deceased persons estate?
Many thanks

Plus as it wasn't their account they company isn't going to entertain a claim from the wife
It wouldn't be a claim from the surviving spouse but from the Estate, being responsible for the deceased assets. It is the Estate (run by the Executors) that claims, for example, on life insurance policies as the account holder is de facto defunct when it is required!Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
