If I was paying for stock from China, would you recommend a particular F/X firm to handle the transaction?

Transferwise!

Use them every month.

ETA: Normally takes next day for me, Euros to Germany. Can pay to have it same day. I've saved thousands over the years.

Click here for a free transfer. If that's within forum rules?

I can assist you, but I'm not sure if I can say anymore than that on the forum. Do PM me and I'll get back to you. Mates' rates for PH!

Yes, the firm will pay the bought currency into the account you specify. Not a problem.

I use xe.com (XE Trade). They can pay out to any account - AFAIK the laundering regulations are satisfied by them verifying you as the sender.

I use HiFX as my contractor already had an account with them. Never had a problem with them and their support was good. I might talk to my contractor about creating an account with TransferWise as I believe they maybe slightly cheaper.

Have used smartcurrency for quite some time and had no issues transfering any money at all and I quite like them.

Not sure if they are the best, but they were the ones who baby sat me through the process when the company first opened so they get my vote now.

Guys,

Is there a way of transferring a large quantity of Nigerian Naira to USD?

I'm browsing on an old Blackberry as my wifi is out at home, so apologies if the answer is in those links.

We have a load of Naira in Nigeria (so not UK) and ideally wanted it changed to USD and sent to a different, foreign bank account.

We don't like the rate we're being quoted, currently, by banks in Nigeria.

Thanks
