P87 response times

Hi all,

Anybody know what the typical response times are currently with HMRC with respect to a tax refund via a P87 submission?

It has been a month now, generally see some sort of confirmation. Also, will they adjust a PAYE tax code for the future seeing as it is job expenses incurred, relating to business mileage in own car.

I have just been talking to someone in my office about this, he submitted near the end of April and received the cheque last weekend.
