Hi folks,

My fiancee is from the US, I'm a Brit and she is moving over here later this year.
We want to set up a joint bank account that is more practical to use around the world.
She is selling her car etc over in the US and only has a local credit union banking account currently.
She wants to transfer the money made to me, close the credit union and for us to have one joint account (+ our sole UK accounts too) that we can use to make payments in the UK and US.
Just wondering what our options are?
Citibank Blue Plus seems decent at £8 a month, HSBC also offer something similar.
Just wondered what people use/have experience of and what other options I should be looking at?

Thanks.

I have a Citibank account in US dollars and another in pounds. It is free if you have more than $2K in there and can pay in dollars and transfer money around.

That way I can transfer money to/from the US and decide when I want to convert it to pounds. At the moment my dollar account is just sitting there as the exchange rate isn't good from the dollar.

Good information, thanks Steve.
Did you set the account up from the UK?
Am I right in thinking the CitiPlus Account linked here is the one you're talking about?
