I make it £12.50

Does she disect the bill every time you go out for a meal out of interest?

My friends engaged, they always do this. Awkward when out for a meal and we all just want to split it by the number of people at the table. They work it out exactly when its just them as well.

To be fair, I'd be running in the opposite direction to a partner that narrowed down everything to the penny.

You need this website:
http://studentspreadsheet.com

Used to use it in house shares when people paid for different things.

Don't use it know it's just me and the missus by maybe I should start!

Thanks for doing the sums, glad we got the same!
We didn't, you got £12.75 and by the sounds of it that 25p difference could cause a riot wink

Only because I've got nothing else to do:

You
£100 - £64.50 = + £35.50

Her
£75 - £110 = - £35

Therefore you owe her £35.25. Meaning you both end up with 25p.

I agree with the others though, life is going to be very complicated for you if you try and account for everything down to the last penny, particularly if you can't do maths.

(Hopefully my sums are correct, if not I blame it on doing it in my head, and from memory due to mobile posting character limits).

I was paid £100 cashback into my bank account by Quidco (For a joint internet contract). So that's £50 each.
I paid £64.50 from my account, for some wine (That we'll both drink). So that is £32.25 each we should pay.
At this point you owe her (£50-£32.25) £17.75.

She was paid £75 cashback into her bank account by Quidco (For another joint contract) So that's £37.50 each.
She paid £110 for a coffee machine (That we'll both use) So that's £55 each.
Now you owe her (£17.75 - (£75/2 = £37.50) = £-19.75 + (£110/2 = £55) = £35.25

I think this means I owe her £12.75
Wrong, you owe her £35.25.
