How long will this house sale take to go through?

I've been offered an amount on my house..
The person offering has sold their house to a person who has just sold their house... So it will be a chain at their end...
If I accept the offer does anyone know roughly how long it will take for the money to come through? Are we talking under 6 months or over...

How long is a piece of string... your estate agent handling the sale should be able to qualify your buyer and assess the likely time to complete the chain.

Not sure anyone here is going to able to offer any insight on this

My guess 12 to 16 weeks if everyone is keen to keep things moving, longer if not.

Of course toward the end someone may decide there not keen on exchanging contracts, so you start again from scratch.

Things you think will take 2 days, take a week to ten days because there are so many parties involved.
