Investing Company profits..How do I get the best return?

Hi Folks,

So we've built up a decent amount and it's sat not doing much with a miserable interest rate. All taxes paid.

I'm not completely risk-averse but by the same token am not willing to play drunk-man's roulette with it.

I'd be happy if we could realise 5% gross return P.A. and thrilled if we could realise more.

Suggestions?
