Baliff visit for previous owners

Morning all,

Just had a visit from the county court baliffs for the previous owners..apparently their car is still registered to this address. I have no forwarding details for them.
I believe the baliff had already checked the registered owners of cars on the drive, so when I spoke to him, he believed I'm not the person on the paperwork.

He told me to contact dvla and tell them that the previous owners no longer live here and remove from the database any cars registered to them from this address. I don't have any reg numbers.
Would dvla take a letter Like this seriously?

Have done some reading online and nothing for me to worry about. Will check any letters (Google the return address) to see if from debt management companies and then contact them...I don't want any more 6am wake-up calls like today's.
