Hi guys,

I've bought a 4-2-1 manifold from a guy on eBay, we had good communication through texts before I sent the payment, thankfully I paid the fees.

The payment was sent a week past Saturday, but the guy never gets in contact with me, and can't provide a tracking number etc, I will give him another couple of days but after this I will be looking to start a dispute to claim the money back.

How do I go about this?

Thanks

I think you just log in to your Paypal account, find the transaction and look for an 'Open dispute' button. Paypal do the rest. If there's no tracking or signature you'll probably get a refund.

You may have to wait 14 days, not sure. But Paypal is on your side.

if you bought it on eBay, open an eBay dispute not a paypal one!

So are you saying that you did a deal outside of EBay thus not paying the fees they were entitled to? Now you want EBay/Paypal to sort out the mess.

If it was paid via PayPal they will still help (as long as it wasn't sent as a gift).

Start the claim sooner rather then later, as it's not a quick process.
So Paypal, I was buying some stuff through your parent company EBay and had the chance to cheat them out of their fees. Then the bloke cheated me and didn't send the stuff.

Does that sound OK?

Doesn't matter.

If he has paid for something via PayPal then he is covered, as long as it wasn't sent as a gift.
Looks like your right - https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Buying-with-Pa...
