Bit more cash in my payslip - any tax changes?

Just had a quick glance over my payslip and looks like I've got an extra £70+ in my pay packet. Work in public sector but don't think we've got the extra 1% rise thrugh yet.

Anyone know what it could be down to?

Check to see if your Tax Code has changed. It should be shown on your payslip.

Could be anything. best thing to do would be to compare it to last month's payslip and see what's changed (or phone your payroll dept). It could be

Tax code change
Salary Increments
Pay award and arrears (most PS are agreeing in the region of 1%)

Cheers guys, didn't think any budget changes would of come through yet, will check my other payslips tonight and see what has changed (and work out how I'm going spend all the extra cash).

Before you spend it, make sure it's correct and they won't want it back.
