Ex-Homeowners' accounts still registered to my house
Discussion
Not sure if I should be concerned about this or not.
We moved in three years ago. The previous occupants bought the house as a repossession at some point in the past (no details on nethouseprices), and it's these original owners I still get post for. They generally seem to be debt letters, with the occasional bank notice. They get sent back as not known at this address, but this doesn't seem to make much difference. The other day I actually received a replacement card, which is slightly more worrying.
I did a free credit check via Noddle, which just shows up my accounts. So should I worry or just send the letters back ad-infinitum?

Try sending them back with 'no longer at this address' on, we had the same and did this and someone from the debt agency called us up (landline number never changed) asking if we had a new address for her, told them we didn't as we never got a forwarding address but believe that she still lived locally (saw her in Tesco twice!) and they thanked us for the help, said they'd find her and we got no more letters.

This is what works for us. Just scrawl 'not known at this address' on anything, chuck it back in a letterbox and they won't come back. Banks will just put a 'gone away' flag on their account and you won't get anymore letters. Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
