GBP vs Yen Predictions?!

Good afternoon, any clued-up (or not so clued-up!) types care to express an opinion on which way this might go over the coming year or so? I'd be grateful of hearing any hunches you may have. The reason I ask is I'm looking to import a JDM car at some juncture.

Hi,

I work in FX and therefore have forecasts from all major banks. Unfortunately, the latests forecasts are pretty mixed, meaning that it is very up in the air on where the rates will go next....

As I am sure you are aware, rates are much higher than this time next year, but recent events in China have really caused havoc in the financial markets and the GBPJPY rate has fallen sharply in the last month-or-so.

Barclays currently have the lowest expectations, with rates as follows:

Q3 2015: 190
Q4 2015: 182
Q1 2016: 181
Q2 2016: 179

Commerzbank have a completely different view and suggest rates will rise up to 205.10 by Q2 2016.

The 'average' forecast for this time period is around 196.
