I've run up against a bit of a snag, I want to invest in a growth fund with the pru, I know which fund I want just need the forms sent off. I spoke to an FA today who wants 3.5%, which is a bit of a pcensored take to be fair. Anyone got any ideas around getting in non advised? Pru stone walled me when I phoned and wouldn't give me the forms.

How much are you looking to invest though. 3.5% of £10,000 is only £350 which isn't unreasonable.

The trouble is the FCA doesn't like 'insistent customers'. Everyone must be treated as an idiot and advised accordingly. You only have to look at the ombudsman complaints to see how quickly people will seek to blame someone else when investments go wrong.
