No one likes buying insurance, but for most people, it's vital. Life cover is always done on price, not so CIC and Income Protection. If you're about to buy it, you may want to read this announcement from Zurich, first. The providers that I use for CIC and IP are all top drawer anyway and not (primarily) based on cost. This reworking of the Zurich contract though, means I'll now be looking at it far more closely again in future. The market always changes.

I'll have look on ci expert to see how it compares to the AIG and Friends contracts, but I doubt it will come close to be fair.

Zurich are still ranked 9th for most clients in the UK. AIG are still number 1 until Friends make the next move Ginge.

Do you think they are likely to increase premiums significantly?

No I doubt it, they have never really wanted to be competitive in that market.

Vitality, Aegon, Aviva, AIG get lots of my business (Friends used to). Even after upgrading last year, I don't rate them as highly. This, from a quick scan, gives them more parity with AIG and should make them more competitive with neurological conditions and low level non invasive cancer.
