I fairly recently started a SIPP with Best Invest (I chose them over Hargreaves Lansdown as they seem to have slightly lower fees). Just started buying funds within the SIPP so I've been keeping a close eye on things, and their interface says the values are delayed by 15 minutes. But they only actually update once per day - so until this morning it was still showing values from Thursday (presumably close of play Thursday).

Is this normal, does HL and other websites only update held fund values once per day, or are they closer to being real time? One of my friends was singing HL's praises about how good their website is, how much information easily accessible on there. Do they have a 'demo' login that can be used to see what the interface is like without having to actually open an account?

Collectives only price once a day, unless you're talking ETFs.

Is rally only direct holdings that matter for pricing frequently so it depends on what you holding.

Shares in the FTSE are updated live if you switch it on within the HL portal. Otherwise it's 15 minutes. Funds which hold other funds and shares appear to be updated at 1230pm the following day.

I've got a HL SIPP and the interface is excellent IMO. As per the above responses the real time/15 minute delay relates to individual stocks.

As has already been said, fund values only change once a day - this is why you are only seeing the price change daily.

If you are looking for live share price updates that would suggest you are planning to do intra-day trading. If this is the case have a look at something like the Frequent Trader platform from Club Finance. I think they are 50p per trade with a lower platform charge than Best, Hargreaves Lansdown, etc.

EDITED AFTER VISITING THEIR WEBSITE:

50p per trade is for balances of £500k +

£2.50 per trade for balances less than £250k (and £1 for balances in between).

Real time price feeds and a 0.24% platform charge.

The 0.24% platform fee also lets you hold funds and buy and sell them with no charges!!!

Quite incredible really... They have been going for ages but just don't get the publicity other receive. I first came across them about 10 years ago as they were (and still are) big in the VCT market.

Thanks, I was trying to work out how often fund values updated, the Best interface suggests there's a 15 min delay in pricing for both funds and shares, which is a bit misleading.

Thanks for the Club Finance tip Julian, thats quite interesting.
