India.
China has rushed to capitalise and over reached.
India hasn't even started yet.
I do business in both countries. They did not have an equal start point for comparison.China has rushed to capitalise and over reached.
India hasn't even started yet.
In India their attitude makes them their own worst enemy.
That's why China outstripped them and going forward I think will continue to do so.

Anyway, risk? India would still be for me.

So.....keeping it simple ..... China ,India,Europe ,U.K.
What percentages over the next year in a managed fund ?
Far too short a time horizon for investment, IMO.So.....keeping it simple ..... China ,India,Europe ,U.K.
What percentages over the next year in a managed fund ?
The managed fund is one I can rejig,if and when, required.
I am looking at possibly including India and China, albeit I realise they are higher risk areas.
Valuing your input,if you were looking at a setting up a managed fund how would you proportion the spread in percentage terms, over all areas (commercial property, bonds, etc.)not just those I have listed above.

What is your risk appetite, are you investing monthly or a lump sum. What are your investment objectives and over what time horizon? The managed fund is one I can rejig,if and when, required.

Right off of the beach now.......
.... a few thoughts towards India & China.... I've got managed funds for both in "portfolio". Both are my top performers over the last 3 years, with the Indian fund achieving an annualised return of 27% & 30% in the last year. The Chinese fund has made 17% annualised and 33% in the last year. To some extent this indicates to me they are looking toppy I would be loath to put a high allocation in either of these sectors if it's for short term return

I'm not talking about a fund completely in China or India, just as a percentage of a general mix.

Time horizon circa 5 years.
Objectives....capital growth.
I can rejig the fund if I want to,but I tend to review annually whilst monitoring current events.
I have other medium risk managed funds.
