If the parents are domiciled and resident in Switzerland, and the daughter is domiciled and resident in the UK, the inheritance laws of which country apply?

It's the father (Switzerland). The assets are in Switzerland, they are Swiss shares held in Switzerland, although they could be sold and then they'd just be Swiss money.

UK domicility is much more complex than where you have lived and how long.

The taxman has been known to look at many more factors in determining this and demanding tax as a result. Intent of being buried in the UK for example.

Seek professional advice.

The OP says parents are domiciled in Switzerland.

IIRC a person can only have one domicile. (Although they may have dual or multiple nationality, residence etc)

As such, it seems the position is clear.

The parents are unquestionably Swiss domiciled. I was asking in case the recipient owed tax by virtue of being UK domiciled. Further research suggests not - what matters it the country of the donor/estate.

^^^ To repeat; No tax in UK on receiving gifts.

...unless the donor should have paid UK tax but hasn't. Which doesn't seem relevant here.
