Just been mailed to say that Zopa are dropping their rates again. Think that's three months on the trot now.

Are there any competitors with similar services but better rates?

It's now access 2.9%, classic 3.7% and plus 6.1%.

I had a loan with Zopa, had 8k left to pay on it at a very competitive rate. However I recently took out a 0% balance transfer credit card, which is 0% for 3 years. Used the credit card to pay the loan, setup direct debit to repay the credit card, thus 0%.

Sorry Zed, I wasn;t clear in my first post. I'm on about the lender rates, i.e. what they pay you in return for lending your money.

Surely if you did a balance transfer you had to pay a fee, often around 3%

0.6% fee...

Apologies, thought this was for borrowers, not lenders.

These are ISA rates? I didn't even know they did ISAs!
