With the North Korean shenanigans pushing up the price of gold in the last week or so to a relative high, I am looking to sell.

I am looking for a retail counter (not postal) that offers the best rates in London. I have across Gerrards Online which is offering as of yesterday's close around £28.47 / gram for 22ct. Not much of the way of reviews online but I cannot find anyone who beats them for price.

Lois in Birmingham and Hatton Garden Metals are two well known and offer the next best prices and have superb reviews. However the amount I wish to sell means even a small difference in pence equates to several hundreds of pounds. So really looking for the best priced retail buyer on the market.

Anyone with more experience with the London / Hatton Garden market?

I've used Hatton Garden Metals on a postal basis a few times. Happy with the prices and service.

No experience of hatton garden I'm afraid as I only deal with Birmingham based companies. I have dealt with Lois bullion numerous times and always had great service.

A company called plus gold in the jewellery quarter offer the best price I have found but not used them personally.

Funnily enough I was thinking of buying. Am also in London - depending on how much you are looking to sell we could trade at mid and both benefit. PM me if interested.

I sold mine to Baird & Co some years back. Towards Barking.

I phoned up several places to fix the price beforehand and they offered the best price.

While waiting in the counter area you can watch all the ingots etc being made on the shop floor.

Surely what he is offering will be the highest possible price if mid between buy/sell

You'd both benefit. Or am I missing something obvious?
