Bog standard will
Discussion
I had a will down by a firm 10 years ago and its all pretty simple just divides my estate up by x number of relatives, it names executors etc etc, its about 3-4 pages long (double spaced). I need to modify the will a bit, I was thinking to just get the one I already have into MS Word and then I modify it how I want, and print, sign with witness etc, would that be ok and would the will be seen as legal, or do I need to get solicitor to do it ?
thanks

You can certainly do your own will: https://www.gov.uk/make-will explains it....
....but also mentions you can amend existing ones (as mentioned above) with a codicil- see http://m.wikihow.com/Write-a-Codicil
Key with either of these is making sure the changes are clear and not subject to misinterpretation (which could lead to confusion or wranglings later). If it was simply changing some portions, probably making a new one would be easy....and burn the old one!

AFAIK November is Will Aid month, so many solicitors are doing Wills in return for a donation to charity
This. If you can find a local solicitor who is a STEPS member (society of trusts and estate practitioners) you can have a new will drawn up from someone who knows what they are doing for a very modest donation to charity. I think mine was £150. If you are doing wills you should think about powers of attorney too - they are more expensive but that's largely down to the fees to register them.
