I have some money in a Vanguard fund through HL.
I'd like to take advantage of the dip in values to buy some more.
When I've bought in the past, the purchase goes through the stages of 'pending', 'submitted for dealing', 'completed'

At what stage of this process is the price at which I'm buying determined?
The valuation point appears to be 9pm.

I asked this question of Charles Stanley a week or so ago when I bought a bulk (rather than my monthly DD amount). I "bought" about 11:30am, and asked the question 2 days later when it was still pending. This was their answer

I note that you placed the order to invest in the Fundsmith Equity Acc Fund this morning, as this was before the daily pricing point, it will have traded today. In general when an order is place into a fund, it is traded at the next available pricing point and as funds only trade once per day this can sometimes be the next working day. Once traded, the order will then take 1-2 days to contract for which it will show as pending. When you receive the contract note outlining the trade details, the order will no longer show as pending but the units will take a further couple of days to settle.
