For instance check these out. Not exclusively AIM but definitely relevant and IMO preferable to the risk of investing in individual AIM companies,

A few years old, but since it's for over 20 years it's good enough. Aim’s annualised total return of -1.6 per cent a year when measured over the past two decades is hardly cause for celebration.

Would tend to suggest it's a very bad index to buy.

- Not all Aim-traded companies qualify for BPR
- The qualifying status of a company can change and it is the status at date of death which determines whether BPR relief will be given.
- Care therefore needs to be taken when selecting individual stocks.
- Restrictions typically apply where the company is focused on property or shares.
- There is no definitive list of Aim-listed securities that currently qualify for BPR
Some specialist wealth management firms will manage a larger portfolio for you. Insurance may also be available to protect you if a loss exists at the time of your death. These are definitely higher risk investments, which is why IHT relief is offered in the first place.....
