Is having a 2nd charge loan put on a house at the same time as taking a mortgage out likely to get the mortgage offer rejected? Based on enough equity in the house to pay both off.. Mortgage is approved without it, and at purchase at the solicitor stage..

Mortgage companies normally require 1st charge. If you other loan secured is 2nd charge then should be fine. It will mess things up if when mortg co go to register the charge they see they are 2nd.

I would wait until mortgage sorted then get the 2nd charge. no mixups then.
