SIPP management by DFM
Discussion
Make sure dealing charges are included within the DFM's fees (as these can up to c. 2% a year on top of the disclosed charges). MiFID II should sort this problem out soon.
Hardly anyone does proper DFM these days (i.e. completely bespoke for you) as the regulatory risks are too high. You could be better off using a DFM's model portfolio service (the house models for different risk/reward levels) which is cheaper and virtually the same thing. Again, check that dealing charges are included.
Some DFM's offer model portfolios with a free SIPP (read pension, as you can't invest in anything else) and some SIPP providers offer a free SIPP (including external investments) if you use their DFM model portfolios for part of your holdings. This also saves on fees.
PM me if you would like anything further. Alternatively GingeR could assist.
