releasing equity from shared ownership
Discussion
Hello all.
I currently own 50 percent of my house and need to raise about 20k for an extension. I have about 80k equity in the house so what's the best and cheapest way to release some of it? I asked my current mortgage provider but they said they don't extend lending for home improvements on shared ownership.
Thanks in advance.

You need to remortgage to a new lender who will offer you the required lending...................I currently own 50 percent of my house and need to raise about 20k for an extension.
